The Progenitor Empire is said to have been so large that it encompasses half the world. The Land of Reeshugan was entirely under their control, and it’s peoples used as slave labor. Some were used for construction, others for tracking, and other still, for pleasure. In ancient pictographs, they are depicted as vain, cruel, and malevolent.
The Progenitors themselves resemble Humans, but with marked differences. Their height was, on average 10-12 feet tall. They possessed a lithe build for their height and a deep golden skintone. In place of hair they had feathers that seemed to range widely in color. The eyes of the Progenitors resembled those of reptiles and were varying shades of green and very rarely purple. Their style of dress is often depicted as flowing robes in scintillating patterns and colors.
They Progenitors had a very advanced knowledge of the arcane, as well as the mechanical. It’s theorized that they extended their influence beyond the sphere of the world, and even into other planes. The remnants that they left behind have taken hundreds of years to understand, and their exact purpose in many cases, remains a mystery. Their disappearance remains unexplained as does the reasons for not taking their slaves.
